Wiring Harness for trailer correct routing

Post  Howdy on Sat May 23, 2009 9:01 pm

I have an 09 Outlander and dealer installed harness and left plug in the compartment where jack is stored. So when I need it I have to take it out of that compartment and feed it between my tailgate and bumper..not very user friendly and a hassle.
What it the proper way to route it it the back?
Thanks Suspect

I have the OEM one on my 07 XLS and from what I can see it's routed somewhere in the rear fender to the outside down to the hitch It must have a hole some where with a plug !
