TPMS system
Today I changed my stock XLS wheels to my 16 inch winter rim's with winter tire I decided not to buy the sensor for the wheels since the 100$ a pieces is to much for my taste. After putting the wheels I got the ''Servive required'' and the warning Light flashing for the first Minute all you have to do is press the info button for 5sec to clear the screen and the warning light stay on while you drive and you save the 400$ + taxes and the reprograming in the spring at the dealer !

This is a huge pain but it's definitely not worth the $400.00

Thanks a lot for the info. The Outlander is my first car with TPMS and I've been reading to determine what I will do when next winter comes. I usually do not go to the dealer to buy or install winter tires because they are so much more expensive that places like Costco. I'd like to have TPMS year round but 400$ for the sensors + the reprogramming twice a year.. No thanks.
I'll simply buy 4 steel rims and 4 winter tires at Costco and learn to live with the TPMS warning all winter.
Thanks again.
