high octane gas

Post  coryl on Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:20 pm

All I can find around this city is 91 octane...anyone know who sells 93 or higher? I heard Sunoco has higher octane (I heard 93 or 94), but the nearest Sunoco is quite a distance away from me. Idea

I don't know of any Husky's around here...I used to live accross the street from one when I lived in Edmonton, but that doesn't help me now. lol! I'm going to look up where the Sunoco's are...I heard that there was a Sunoco on Merivale, but I couldn't find it and then someone said it was now closed.

Thanks everyone for their advice. I went and filled up today at Sunoco on Carling ave and got the Ultra 94...not cheap...$1.50/litre so almost twice the price of octane 87! What are we going to do if gas prices rise? affraid

Do you think that the dealer puts in 93 or better (as recommended) when they fill up the car at purchase?

Sorry....decimal point in wrong place...1.05/L. Still outragious...there was an older lady who came in behind me and said to the Sunoco guy, "why are your prices so high?" How are the prices elsewhere?
