Hellooo

Post  4G64T on Tue Jul 28, 2009 8:01 pm

'Bout time we had a proper mitsu forum!

Thanks Roach & Coady for helping me get my account set up

I'm Alex, I have a 2003 Eclipse with some slight mods. I have a friend who also bought a 03 eclipse and I've done some painting/modding of his car so it looks very similar to mine, you might of seen it at M&M. I like to help out when I can feel free to shoot me a pm if anyone would like to get serious about modding their mitsu's!

T3/TO4E .63 A/R tuned up to 14lbs, I run it at 10 as I currently have nothing controlling the timing. I'm using a Greddy Emange Ultimate to tune but only to adjust fuel injecter duration. I need to switch to an AEM EMS badly, the stock ECU doesn't take to piggyback systems to well.

I've put over 14,000km on it since boosting. It ran a 13.4 at luskville on stock 195/60/15 cheapo tires. I've replaced the transmission once when I blew the diff up (at luskville no less... bled all out onto the track... to many back to back hot runs/burnouts). Recently I've had to replace the motor as the oil pump assembly/balance shaft broke and other various catastrophic failures. Since the motor swap I've had an issue with my ignition coils melting after 10mins of the car running. Hope to sort that issue out soon, finish the paint on the roof/pillars and give it a good clean!

Welcome

Another Eclipse Smile

did you build the turbo setup yourself or go with a kit?... I've done alot of research but it seems going with the 6g72, 6cyl aint so easy to turbo. Quite a few like to supercharge it, but they make me nervous. Not safe.

I have to say it: What's up with that CF wing at the back? Yuck. Sad

Painted fiberglass looks alot better. That thing sticks out like a sore thumb silent

Other than that... looking good Laughing

I built the setup from scratch with a buddy. The 6G can be built properly to take boost... I've seen quite a few setups at 3g.com that look pretty clean. The RIPP Mods SC kit though is a joke... There are more parts available for the 6cyl than the 2.4L. I like your Eclipse I've seen it driving around very clean. The spoiler is a needed modificationand I just happened to have that one lying around at the time. My car didn't come with the painted arch spoiler, and the car is hideous without a spoiler. This one does the trick, plus no one pays attention to that once they've seen the car drive silent

Finally have all the kinks worked out of it! Went out for a little celebratory late-night tuning session with my friend/tuner to start getting the car to idle again and ended up getting a pretty good lil map started I definitely like how it's shaping up. Hope to see you all on the roads shortly!!!
