Life is good...

I'm Matt. My friends say I'm evol, or maybe that was evil, but close enough. I decided to play the part and picked up a 2008 Evo MR, Octane Blue with all the bells. Call it a mid-life crisis response. Call it a great idea. I couldn't afford it when I was 25, but the good news is I still want the toys all these years later, and now I can. Life is good.

Life is good, but not quite perfect - there's still this need to work thing. I'd love to have made it out today.

On another note, I was browsing the member site this morning and am definitely interested in the 10% discount at Bank Street. I bought my Evo there and intend to maintain it there.

Also I see you meet weekly at Merivale and Meadowlands, and being in Barrhaven, that's pretty good for me. Hopefully I'll be able to put some faces to names there before the next big event.

Been working like a dog. I have my first two days off this weekend after working 30 days worth of time in the last month. I'm thinking of taking my car up to the track at Calabogie for a day. Anyone here done any driving courses or track time?

On the mudguards, no temptation for me. On the parts, yep I've gone through a lot of performance tires and rim and always buy either from tirerack, or tiretrends in Vancouver - depends sometimes on the exchange rate. If you have never heard of tiretrends, check out their website. Very competitive with tire rack, and no duties or customs delays since it's Canadian.

Thx for the tip I got my wheels from tire rack last year only if I knew about tiretrend I will keep that in mine for the futre !

Looks like we've got three Evos in Barrhaven now!

I've never heard of tiretrends, but their prices look pretty good. I ended up getting my winters last year from 1010tires (also based in BC).

I checked them all out...Ottawatiresdirect.ca had the best prices...even tiretrends nor tirerack compared...checked out every place in town including Frisby's, Mitsu dealerships, etc. The prices were over $3000...I need 18in to fit over the Brembos in the EVO X. I paid delivered to my door, $2240, and that included Blizzacks WS60's for winter, new rims and TPMS....good deal considering I got one quote for $3850...OMG.
