I'm from Alberta originally, so don't speak a word of French...so if I repeat anything that has been said please don't hurt me.
I spoke with my girlfriend and she said you will certainly have to do the safety, and the emisions test (regardless of the age of the car). She just bought a brand new Toyota last year in Quebec, and had to have both of these done to have the car registered here in Ontario...I think that's outragious....what kind of scams is this Ontario government trying to pull? She says you have 1 month to get your car registered/new plates, and 3 months to get your driver's licence changed over. She says you have to go to the main branch on Walkley to have this done and just can't go to just any licencing bureau.

My friend just moved with is girlfriend to Hull... He apartment is under is father's name so that was he does not have to change is plates
